Our first visit to ikea in Nevada. Same as Sacramento, but no pandemic restrictions like four years ago.
There is a designated walking direction with arrows above your head and on the floor. In Cal, we didn't notice right off and ended up walking the floor backwards the whole way.
We also noticed an interesting sales technique that mimics a bait and switch. But it's not.
Say you want a stack of matching dishes. They aren't sold as a set. The least expensive item is displayed prominently, NOT ALL PIECES ARE THE SAME PRICE. Most are more expensive. If you're not paying attention, it's easy to overpay for an item. Look carefully and you'll see the correct tag for the item you wanted, with the correct price. If you didn't...that's on you.
We were interested in a couple of clear glass drinking glasses for 99 cents each. Again, The green glass is $1.99 each. They are made in France with no markings of dishwasher or microwave safe. We passed.
The people were friendly but we had trouble understanding a few of them. After taking time to work with them, we understood each other and ended with a smile. 04/24Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 5Oh no 0 - Linda K.Phoenix, AZ4143Apr 19, 2024
Mainly rating the food.
Service was nice. Nothing too much to say about it. The food was depressing the only good thing was the Swedish meatballs. We got the chicken tenders and they tasted really weird. Very fatty probably grade C meat. It's not worth buying other things in the food court besides the meatballs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 4, 2024
Absolutely love this IKEA location!! It's so huge that you can actually burn a little bit of calories walking thru the whole store. I took my toddler here recently & met up with my parents for a casual afternoon shopping trip. We really enjoyed the spotless store & friendly employees.
The cafeteria was so cool with so many yummy dishes, and even desserts with reasonable prices. The selection of home furnishings, kitchen equipment, and decor is amazing too. Even the little market place downstairs offers a myriad of goodies for people's pantry & fridge.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 7, 2024
You know, I've always enjoyed IKEA as a way to kill an hour or so just having a look around, it's a good way to get ideas by looking at the many room layouts they have while also getting in a bit of exercise. However, that's about as far as the experience goes for me anymore.
In fairness, I don't think anyone expects to find particularly high quality furniture here, but lately with every visit I've just been shocked at some of the prices being asked for items. I also notice the selection in this store seems to be rather limited these days also, in fact large areas of this store are under construction right now too, and that may be a factor in the less than stellar selection, but them not having a lot of built up items on display kind of defeats the purpose of the store. There's really nothing here you cannot easily buy online, and many times you could find better at a lower price, and with the easy return policies now of many online retailers i just am not sure what IKEA really offers anymore.
Your mileage may vary, but for me I just feel the novelty of IKEA has worn off and don't see myself returning again anytime soon.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 4160162812276Sep 30, 2023
My daughter wanted to get a few new furniture pieces for her room and I couldn't think of a better place to stop at, IKEA! On a Sunday morning, around 11:00 A.M, we had stopped by. IKEA is located off of the 215/Sunset exit. There are plenty of parking spaces available at IKEA.
It's been several years since I've visited this IKEA location and I forgot the layout. As soon as you walk into IKEA, you can go up the escalator to the food court or you can start your journey through various room setup and displays. As you adventure through IKEA, you get to explore and visualize how different furniture pieces and accessories can be utilized. My daughter was looking for bookshelves and shelving organizers at IKEA.
IKEA offers an extensive range of furniture and home décor items. You'll see a variety of traditional and classic designs to sleek or modern designs. Most of IKEA offerings are designed with functionality first. A lot of their pieces include some sort of storage solution or space saving ideas.
One of the best parts about IKEA though is their pricing. IKEA offers functional and well-designed products at low prices which is great! I'm glad I had my phone charged before coming to IKEA. As we were looking at different pieces, we had to take pictures of the tags. The furniture you can be picked up at the first floor warehouse. We also purchased a plush whale towards the end of our journey within IKEA.
We had such a fun time looking at all of the kitchen designs, bedroom layouts, and office space examples. You can easily spend several hours in IKEA. If your looking for furniture ideas, you should stop by IKEA!Helpful 11Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Mar 1, 20242 check-ins
Fun place to explore trending things for your home. Wish we could try out some inexpensive furniture but shipping to HI is costly. Got a cute round natural placemat and round place ones to protect the table. I'm using them under a potted plant. I also got some cute white bath tub mats that has white on white design feet prints.

The staff were nice, the food court there was alright. It is picky eater friendly. You get a lot for what you pay for which is nice. It's good if you need something to fill you up.

I'd heard so much about this place, that it was literally on my Birthday Month Bucket List. (Totally serious! Lol)
This is the kind of store you can get lost in. And others must have done just that, cause they have projected directional arrows on the warehouse type floors to help you find your way out.
I totally enjoyed perusing the mock rooms and merchandise for hours. Thank goodness they understand my necessity to refuel every couple hours and installed a cafeteria in the middle of the store.
This well organized store is a must for anyone looking to furnish their living space affordable. But beware, I'm told putting your purchases together can be a challenge. Next time I go and make a purchase, I'll let you know.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1
