I wanted to provide an update to my nearly 2 year endeavor with the Shade Store. Eventually the Shade Store team agreed to give me a store credit for my defective motorized shades and we used the store credit to get manual roller shades. Although at the end of the day the motorized roller shades should have worked as intended, we managed to get a resolution worked out.
The Las Vegas team was always great - Bryan has been so on top of things and the maintenance/installation guys were always professional and thorough. My main qualms are with the New York customer care team who demonstrated poor customer service and indifference to the issues we were having. If you're looking at Shade Stores' motorized roller shades, stay away! Aug 10, 2023Previous reviewI am writing an update about my experience a year in with the motorized roller shades and drapes. Shortly after getting my motorized roller shades installed, they began "jerking" every time they were lowered and regularly made a loud noise when going up and down. I've patiently worked with the Shade Store for nearly 1 year to try to get my roller shades fixed, but the issue keeps recurring, making me think there is some sort defect with their roller shades. I recognize some things may be out of the Shade Store's control, but they can control their customer service, which has been abysmal.
I've been pawned off to different customer service support members; my repairs started with the Las Vegas team - who were good - but given the nature of my issue, I was quickly redirected to NYC's customer service team. With the NYC customer service team, I've been re-assigned to customer service team members numerous times, my repair requests would "disappear", and I was even ignored by an assigned customer service team member (e.g., Makson Cledor didn't respond to my numerous emails and voicemails).
I've had Shade Store's repair technicians come out to my house about 6 times with the issue recurring each time; they've even replaced my entire roller shade system twice, but the jerking and noise persists; there seems to be no solution to an obviously defective product.
It's been an incredibly frustrating experience to stay on top of the Shade Store to get my roller shades functioning as they should. I was initially very excited about these shades and considering getting more for my house, but after this experience, I'll never do business with the Shade Store again.Oct 31, 2022Previous reviewWe had an exceptional experience with the Shade Store in Tivoli Village. We were looking for motorized shades for two screen doors, as well as floor-to-ceiling blackout curtains. I was shocked when I reached out to other shade businesses in the Vegas area as several said they were too busy or wouldn't be able to do everything we wanted. I tried the Shade Store on a whim and I'm so glad I did.
From the start, Deborah patiently answered our many questions and made the entire process seamless from start to finish; she was dedicated to making sure we had a wonderful experience. The installation team was also professional and made sure everything was perfect when measuring and installing our products.
We've had the shades/drapes for some time now and everyday I love them. They're seamless to use, look amazing, and really elevate our space. I love the smart home features with it too - I can set schedules, auto-open/close them, and get smart home devices to open/close them too. Bryan and his whole team did an amazing job. From helping me choose color, fabric, style... to actually installing the finished product. I have over 50 windows in my house, and the entire installation process only took a couple hours. They even went room to room and help me set up the app for the motorized rollers on my phone. (That alone prob would've taken me hours on my own).

I ordered my window coverings June 2022. My husband and I requested motorized blinds and we had our curtain colors chosen within that week of visiting. When the guy came to measure the curtains, he was also aware that it was a motorized track and measured for it. When the items arrived, it was a non-motorized track.
The sales associate we worked with said it wasn't in her notes, implying that it was our fault although my husband and I both remember mentioning it to her because she told us that it would only come in white if it was motorized.
She wrote me up a new estimate and I paid the extra fee to get the motorized track. Shade store wouldn't refund me the tax and installation fee I paid for the previous curtain although it didn't seem fair that I should have to pay for their mistake. They ended up comping me the installation for the motorized track.
My window measurements were never stored so their guy had to come back and measure. The next few months had mishap after mishap with their delivery company. I asked Tami B. if I could speak to a manager and she ignored my request so I had to find one on my own. My order was lost numerous times and and each time it was lost, it would take at least a month until I heard from someone. I can't even remember how many times I sat at home and waited for the delivery, only for it to not show up. The delivery company they use is horrible and full of excuses. By the 4th time it was lost, I finally got an apology.
My measurements were also lost again so they had to send their guy back to measure the same windows for a 3rd time (even though I was told he wouldn't have to come back) . You would think they would be smart enough to store them in a computer somewhere so this poor guy doesn't have to keep repeating his job. He was also frustrated and couldn't understand why the sales associate didn't store the measurements after all the mistakes that have been made. Apparently the measurements are stored with the curtain so if that gets lost, so does your measurements.
Each time the delivery is lost, it's up to me to reschedule the new delivery and new installation date/time and follow up with everyone.
10 months later the track finally comes. After being in my house for an hour, the installers realize the curve is in the wrong spot so they have to take the track back. After waiting a few weeks after that incident I had to reach out to someone to find out what was going on. Why is it my responsibility to keep up with their mistakes? I
've been storing the curtains in a huge 5 foot box for months now. My bedroom curtains were around $7k so maybe that's too small of a job for them to care. It's been almost a year now and if I were to write out every detail of their shortcomings, this would be a much longer post. The 1 star goes to the installation and measurement guys because they were all very friendly and were just as frustrated with everything that's transpired.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

The entire process from start to finish was professional and thorough.

Amazing experience with from start to finish. We went to the showroom after we bought our house and Bryan was amazing. Consultative, patient and knowledgeable, he really took the time to understand what we were looking for and suggest great options. Even as our project evolved and changed, he was responsive and thorough.
Once it was time for measurements and eventually installation, Anthony did excellent work. Came on time for the measurement (which is more than I can say for some other low cost options we were looking at). Then when it was time to install, he was able to show up early and got the installation down perfectly in a timely fashion.

I have utilized the Shade Store before and purchased in the California area. The store in Nevada was warm and inviting. We were able to make selections for our new home and received lots of samples to take and place on walks to get a visual.

We are extremely happy with our entire The Shade Store experience and highly recommend them. Bryan at the store is knowledgeable, helpful and quickly responsive to our multiple follow-up questions. We have both motorized and chain-pull shades; both work perfectly. In two of our new windows, we failed to take into account the unlocking lever when deciding on which side to have the chains; when Pedro, the installer arrived, he quickly resolved the issue. Both sales and install process went smoothly and timely.
