My family moved to Vegas 2 years ago and we had to find a school asap for my young kids. We searched many places and discovered BCCA. This school has been such a huge blessing to us to say the least. Not only do they have a great school curriculum but also included a biblical based teachings. My son comes home singing beautiful positive songs and my baby has learned to love her caretakers.
I am amazed that all the teachers and staff know all the children by name and have positive attitudes each and every day.
Any time I have had a concern I am free to ask and able to communicate with the teachers and directors with no issue. They continue to provide excellent care to my kids and continue to implement positive changes.
I also love that they have security, its so important to know that my kids are safe. If you are considering this school you are on the right path. Thank you BCCA for all that you do these words are not enough to show you my gratitude but I know God will bless you and that's more than I can ever do!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alexander J.Sacramento, CA01Jan 16, 2024
My time at the school has been dreadful. The directors attitude is appalling, and my child returned home with a bruise, sparking deep worries about safety. The school's overall condition is shockingly dirty. It's disheartening to witness such neglect. I sincerely hope for drastic improvements to ensure a safer and more positive environment for students.

I never said I had an issue with the teachers. They have been great with my daughter. However of all the things you decided on addressing from my review. You didn't mentioned anything in regards to my child's safety which is the most important factor to me and I would think to all parents. You released her to someone without even checking to see if they are on the pickup list and asking for their ID. What is the point of keeping the doors locked when you'll just release the kids to just anyone that asks for them?

Dear Mrs. Tina,
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, as our goal is to continuously improve. From the start of the enrollment, you already told the admissions that she only stays in our school for two months as you enrolled her in other school for her needs. We tried to accommodate your request even she is not potty trained yet to be in the classroom you want her to be. We did check the email of director@bccausa.com and we did not receive an email from you. The calendar of events is always sent in advance before the beginning of the school year. You are given an App and Text Alert phone number to reach out right away plus the phone number at school. It is also in our website the calendar. If you receive a short-notice alert, it is because it is simply a reminder of what we have already sent previously. A month before that, we consistently send in email about House System Events-It was also posted at front during pick up time. It is not fair that you put the blamed to the school, we have no complaints for parents who are proactive with events and we understand that parents can be busy at work esp that it's the aunt who picked her up. COVID-19 added a struggle to get information to school staff, parents, and students as we prefer to give information in person. However, due to health and safety concerns, and per our Director in Safety and Security, we only allow face-to-face meetings by appointment. Our doors are always open to parents, with previous notice. In addition, we make sure to give multiple opportunities and a variety of ways to schedule a parent conference, as needed, by phone, email, or text. If you have any important questions or concerns, you can always let our Director of Security know, he is at front. He will then inform us promptly so that we may address these with you directly and in a timely manner. If there is a refund due, we will make sure that it is given promptly. Our billing department transactions routinely occur on Mondays. Please know that she has been picked up late, those were the charges that you asked. We thought your husband communicated to you as the administrator explained to him. Currently, we have approximately 48 teachers on our payroll. We do apologize if some of our front staff are not able to pronounce names properly. However, names are a learning process. We apologize for any inconveniences you have experienced. However, we can most definitely assure you that all of our students are much loved and well-cared for. You told us that your daughter does not speak but based on all our observation and the counselor's assessment, she started to talk to all her friends and play so nicely. This simple issue has a simple solution. We allow and encourage all parents to communicate with us, our offices are always open to parents with immediate concerns. We consistently send emails to invite parents to schedule a PTC. Please pick up all her arts and crafts and pumpkin. We hope that you will communicate everyone in the family about the communication we did, rather than put the blame to the teachers who worked so hard to develop your child's needs. I know how hardworking and passionate our teachers here especially your child's teachers Ms. Andrea, Ms. Bersey and Ms. Diane are amazing teachers to her. We have to defend the teachers whom I've seen and worked for decades passionately to give the best service for every child. If we can be of any further assistance, we are here for you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.Oct 28, 2022Previous reviewI put my child in this preschool school for about 2 months and had to pull her out for many reasons. Just like another reviewer said, they're quick to take your money but are horrible about anything else. They don't respond to emails. Every time I emailed them they told me I sent it to the wrong person that's why there was no response. Well why couldn't they 1) respond and tell me whom to send it to 2) forward the email to the right person. I've received text messages at 9pm stating they're having a spirit day and to come dressed according to the theme. Really? Could you not give us at least 24 hours? Another thing is they do everything they do for the child's "safety". They said they check ID for people other than the child's parents. My child's aunt went to go pick her up, they released my daughter without even asking her aunt's name or ID. They did this several times. But yet when her father went to pick her up (which he does drop off and pick up twice a week) they would ask for his ID stating they've never seen him before after almost 1.5 months. They always got my daughter's name wrong even after 2 months. They say they send pictures and updates throughout the day and you can tell from my daughter's hairstyle and clothes that it was from a different day. My daughter was always missing stuff and they can never find it. They say they post the curriculum for us to see outside the classroom door but we're not allowed in the building so we can't see it. They charge our account different fees and when we try to ask for a statement they brush us off. Basically, everything they say they're going to do they don't.
My daughter is attending a different school and she is happy to go to school. They staff knew her name the very first day of attendance and even her allergies! They send me updates everyday as promised, as well as menu, events, and curriculum for the coming week in advance. - Tejiro E.Las Vegas, NV01Apr 28, 2023
My son learnt a lot of Christian songs from BCCA but they left out very important information. My son started complaining about school. He said that a student pushed him and he fell off the playground equipment. The school never told me and they never made an incident report and when I discussed the issue with management- They told me, if my son doesn't know how to use the playground equipment then he will be excused from doing so. Very terrible management, zero values and manners.

My granddaughter attended this school for 2 years. They give you a great presentation on what they'll teach but do not follow through. No language class, music, etc.
also, don't put a card on file unless you want charges added with no authorization.
Communication is very bad with staff and director.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1Business owner information

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, as our goal is to continuously improve. BCCA offers Music , Chinese and Spanish during the school year from August to May. During Summer, we have Summer Camp. It is a weekly Theme and distributed the Themes. Is this during summer that you feel like Language and Music were not thought? You are right as we do only Weekly Themes on summer, its mostly Fun Sports Club we normally do. We did check the email of director@bccausa.com, however, we did not receive any communication about this matter. Wish we can go back the time that every parent and teachers can just talk each other right that situation. COVID-19 added a struggle to get information to school staff, parents, and students as we prefer to give information in person. However, due to health and safety concerns, and per our Director in Safety and Security, we only allow face-to-face meetings by appointment. If its an immediate need, definitely! our office will talk to you right away. Our doors are always open to parents. In addition, we make sure to give multiple opportunities and a variety of ways to schedule a parent conference, as needed, by phone, email, or text. If you have any important questions or concerns, you can always let our Director of Security know. He will then inform us promptly so that we may address these with you directly and in a timely manner. If there is a refund due, we will make sure that it is given promptly. Our billing department transactions routinely occur on Mondays. However, we ask that you give us a two-week notice so billing runs smoothly. We can most definitely assure you that all of our students are much loved and well-cared for. This simple issue has a simple solution as BCCA can work if a family is in financial hardships. We always offer help.. Wish you emailed the Director as she is so solution oriented person. If we can be of any further assistance, we are here for you. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

It is quite unprofessional to have received a response here on Yelp and not receive a response to the email I sent to admin and the CEO. Let us clarify everything on here, because you had the arrogance not only to disregard my communications, but also to fabricate events to look good. For further clarification 1) My daughter has never admitted to such a thing, and the idea that you are capable of fabricating such things while leading this Christian school is revolting. My kid was so overcome with emotion while crying in the office that she couldn't even speak. 2) My daughter was not withdrawn because of financial difficulties, as you allege; she was withdrawn due to the lack of structure and disorder we experienced. 3) The COVID-19 pandemic was exceedingly challenging for all of us, particularly the children. Despite the fact that all of this is true, this is not an excuse for not knowing how to behave in public. Education and manners start at home. Violent behavior should never be allowed. I never once advocated for the other student's expulsion from your school. I repeatedly inquired as to why I had not been informed of the occurrence and what efforts the school would take to ensure that such incidents did not occur again. None the less I wish you the very best and the experiences you have given us as parents.

Dear Claudia,
We totally understand your frustrations. As always, we desire to continuously improve. Per your conversations with the admin previously, you indicated that you are withdrawing your child due to financial hardship. In response, we reached out to you offering a scholarship and financial aid. The school waived your child's tuition and registration as we totally understand your situation. I am sincerely not quite sure where this misunderstanding, and subsequent hard feelings comes from. Please know that we have investigated the situation. We understand that kindergarten students are playful, and therefore we want them to explore the world of imagination and creative thought. We discovered that your daughter, and other student were great friends, were dancing roughly in playing. Your student admitted, in the meeting, that the injury was an accident during such play. Students slammed into each other accidentally. They are children, and such occurrences will happen. However, please know that we have addressed the situation appropriately, and are dedicated to teaching our students how to be kind, play gently, be considerate of others, and be forgiving when accidents happen. I have also met with the BCCA administration and we have the investigation report. We did issue a 2nd warning to the other student and had a meeting with the student's parents and they are willing to work with us to be in the same page. Our policy is to take further action after 3 warnings.
We are here to guide and train each student, giving them chances for positive change just as Christ does for us. The Covid-19 pandemic didn't help either because our young students were entering the building with little to no idea how to interact socially with others, because they had been isolated at home during a time where they would normally be attending daycares or preschools where they could learn how to interact with peers. You are aware that we have a counselor and staff who will handle with rough behaviors. We do not feel it is appropriate to immediately expel a child because of behavior, when that behavior can be corrected. However, despite our humanity, we genuinely care for our students and have their best interests at heart. Therefore, we will learn from each situation, and apply what we learn in order to improve our future practice.Oct 27, 2022Previous reviewThis school shouldn't even be considered a school, much less a Private Christian school. The environment is not conducive to children's development. The lack of structure and minimal pedagogy led me to make the decision of withdrawing my daughter shortly after she started Kindergarten. During the time that my daughter attended BCCA, their was one incident where she was verbally and physically bullied by another student in her class. I was made aware of this incident, because my daughter told me herself, instead of the school reaching out to me. I asked to speak to the principal about it, since the school never tried to reach out to me regarding this incident. I was brought to the principal's office to speak about this. In the principal's office there was Mrs. Rainbow, Mrs. Manion, Mrs. Emily Marx, myself, and my daughter Chloé. When I asked the details of the incident, I was told by the principal that this other child who bullied my daughter had a history of acting out this way in the past and he was "learning how to regulate his emotions". I was also told there was an incident report made, yet I was never notified. During our talk, my daughter felt overwhelmed and was crying the entire time. Mrs. Rainbow approached her and said, "On Monday morning when you come in, please come and get me and remind me so I can go with you, and he can apologize to you." I found what Mrs. Rainbow said to her completely unprofessional. No kid should ever have to remind any adult what the proper steps are to handle a situation, much less an adult who's title is "Director of Guidance and Counseling". When I asked how they would go about this so this wouldn't happen in the future, I was told by the principal that since an incident report was made this time around, and his parents were involved "hopefully" he would understand, and this would not happen again. I believe the school and staff handled this event very poorly and to me as a mother, its unacceptable for any school much less a Private Christian School to act with such lack of transparency and little to no communication. Till todays date, BCCA has not reached out about her withdrawal, any emails I have sent to the Executive Director, Head of School, and CEO, which I find completely unethical.
The reasons were many, but most significantly, I felt lack of structure and support at your school.
I would not recommend this place for any child to attend. If I could give it zero stars I would, because it doesn't deserve a single star. - Liz L.Las Vegas, NV2163015Aug 2, 2021

My kids were there from pre-K-1st grade and they were awesome. The price was great and the teaching was really good. They really build a good foundation for my kids. The reason we left was because we got accepted Legacy and the school goes from k-8th. I believe BCCA only goes up to 4th. But the school was great especially Ms Merci and Ms Mannion!

Thank you for your kind words, Chris. It has been a pleasure to be able to serve your family and watch your children learn and grow -- as part of the BCCA family. We currently go up to 6th grade and plan to continue expanding as the Lord allows.

I really hope that this review reaches at least 1 momma who had/has bad anxiety about their baby going to daycare.
Even from the time I was pregnant the thought of leaving my son at a daycare when it was time to go back to work made me sick. I researched every single daycare facility in Las Vegas and we ended up going with BCCA.
I no longer have any type of anxiety or worry about him being somewhere away from me and trust me that feeling is priceless.
Ms. Christyn is a gem and her mom, who takes care of the babies might as well just be a part of our family now. My son is so excited to see her every morning and the feeling is reciprocated. Everyone knows his name and is always smiling at him and interacting with him. We really do love this place.Helpful 18Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
