Disclaimer: This review is only for my experience so far with the staff members at this location. I will keep this review updated during my daughter's enrollment and share my thoughts as my daughter progresses through her preschool experience. I have read a negative review about an alleged administrative/refund issue from the past from another parent on Yelp, and decided I should attempt to balance the scales here with this review even though we haven't officially kicked off the school year yet.
The staff at this school has been nothing but excellent from the start. My wife and I went on a school tour in 2022 and about 10 months before our daughter could even enroll in the pre-k program because she was too young. We were in the research phase of deciding which school we were going to enroll our daughter in between Challenger, Merryhill, Montessori, and UNLV Preschool. We communicated this to the staffer that gave us our first tour, and they were understanding and professional about it. The tour was informative, every staff member was so welcoming, and the school was very clean (huge plus).
Fast forward to this past Spring where we narrowed our choices down to Merryhill and Challenger and we wanted to do another tour, and once again, the staff could not have been better. From the fast responses via email and phone when scheduling the second tour, and during the entire time we were touring the school again.
So far we are happy to say that we decided to enroll our daughter here and we're confident we've made the right choice.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nancy D.Camarillo, CA441731Oct 4, 2022
I was told a refund will be issued 5-7 weeks for our tuition since we decided to pull my son out on his first day. I've patiently waited 7 weeks and just got off the phone with the administration this morning was told unfortunately you didn't send an email for paper trail! Are you kidding me! How do you manage to tell me about the the whole process, wait time, and say I don't have to do nothing on my end.
Melissa's response "I'm so sorry not sure how they made the mistake not to tell you "Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Glo L.Las Vegas, NV8941923Jun 12, 2023
We just finished up a great year in Kindergarten! Challenger school has an amazing reading program that teaches phonics. We love everyone at this school. The teachers , administrative staff , front desk & the kids. Best academics school! Highly recommended.

I was looking for a school for my son and researched many in our area. I mostly wanted concentration on academics and principles which this school by far surpassed any other. It is very clean and well put together, they are quite kind and care about your kids while teaching them the principles of life they so importantly need to know. In less than 2 months my son went from just knowing the alphabet to reading books. This is preschool by the way, I can't wait to see what is in his future. Here they know who you are and are very welcoming.. not just a number..Money well spent.... Excellent education!

Prior to this school year I would have given Challenger 5 stars but unfortunately this year (this is our fifth school year) I learned that Challenger does not have a policy on student to teacher ratios in elementary school.

I recently came back to read the reviews written and notice my review has been altered. How did that happen? Hmmm. I wrote a long review about my experience my son and I had during his PreK class describing his miserable unfriendly teacher. Due to the shut down back in 2020 he no longer attended, which was a blessing in disguise. The staff here was so unpleasant to deal with. Nothing good to say about this campus at all. Looking back I should have withdrew him earlier but he was just getting used to going to school so I didn't want to give up. Word of advice to parents...look into other private schools because Challenger way is not for every child. They don't make learning fun. Kids need a balance in school. I'm so glad we enrolled in another private school close by that my son is happier.

My son was a student here from 3 years old until first grade, basically up until the pandemic, where we encountered some financial difficulties which required us to change schools. The decision was incredibly difficult for us to make as this school is wonderful with caring teachers, such as Miss Kelly (your amazing headmaster) and Miss Hailey. We really love them.
I'm so thankful I had chosen this school as they gave him a solid foundation for all subjects and now he's ahead of his peers at his new school! We would absolutely choose this school again given the chance!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael S.Las Vegas, NV0215Aug 28, 2022Updated review
The educational pace is fine for kids who can keep up. Their false promises-cleverly only conveyed verbally and not in writing- about smaller class sizes vs. public and competitive alternatives are what kill the company as a whole for me. For the cost of tuition and uniforms, you're better off putting your kid in a more economical private school that promises hard caps on their class sizes.
Helpful 9Thanks 2Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 18, 2020Previous reviewArrogant staff. Terrible head master. They just take your over priced tuition and treat you and your kid like a number. There is also a definitive lack of effective communication with the parents. It seems to be boiled down to the two minutes you have at drop off, pick-up and via your five year old instead of effective communication systems direct to parents. For the money, send your kid elsewhere.

I LOVE this school!
From the front staff to the teachers, everyone is a joy.
My 5 year old is in Kindergarten and is reading 2nd and 3rd grade books.
My 3 year old loves it as well and his performances are amazing.
Can't speak highly enough about this school. 3 cheers for Challenger!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mindi S.Spring, TX0319Mar 5, 2021
This was the absolute worst experience in dealing with a "school" I ever had! The director/head master is extremely unprofessional. I reported, to the director/head master, witnessing a teacher being verbally abusive to one of the pre-k students, who, the teacher turned out to be a friend of hers. I would recommend attending the Challenger location on Isaac Newton rather than this location on Badura, where this schools director and teachers are more professional, courteous, and definitely cultivating a better learning environment.
